ADVANCED COASTAL CRUISING

Advanced Level for multi-day cruising at night and in any conditions.

Prerequisite: ASA 101, ASA 103, ASA 104 and ASA 105 and the ability to demonstrate competencies in all knowledge and skills elements of those standards.

This 4 day, 3 night day course sharpens previous skills and prepares sailors to skipper or crew our 46’ monohull while sailing at night, navigate and conduct COB drills at night, systems repair & troubleshooting during coastal passage-making. This course entails day and night cruising aboard our Bennett 46. Weather permitting, the locations may be Munising, Grand Island, Grand Marais, Huron Islands or Keweenaw Peninsula.

Students will share in provisioning cost, meal prep & clean-up duties. Students must bring own bedding/sleeping bag; we can provide if you are flying in.

NOTE: Course needs a minimum of 2 paid students to be confirmed. If we have to cancel a course due to not enough students, you will receive a full refund or the option to join another class.

$1985/person for single student in private cabin

$1785/person in shared cabin – 2 must book together; we do not pair people who don’t know each other.

$1550/person for settee berth

$5495/private course for 1-5 people. The course will be closed to outside students.

ASA 106 Sailing
