  • Your safety is the most important consideration, and we want your experience to be a positive one.

Daysails/Sunset Sails: If actual weather is too severe or forecasted as severe, we may cancel or reschedule your sail. If you’re unable to reschedule, we’ll refund your payment. We will not cancel based on forecasted weather or only by “small craft advisory,” but take these into consideration when deciding to cancel or not.

Classes: We rarely will cancel a class for inclement weather, as we can usually move course components around to accommodate moving weather patterns. ASA 101 courses will be rescheduled/restructured if the sustained wind is greater than 20 knots, ASA 103 if the sustained wind is greater than 25 knots and ASA 104 if it is greater than 30 knots.

Trips: If actual weather is too severe, we may cancel, delay departure, choose an alternate destination or reschedule your trip. If we cancel or you’re unable to delay or reschedule, we’ll refund your payment. We will not necessarily cancel based on forecasted weather or only by “small craft advisory.” If your trip is cut short by severe weather and we are unable to sail back to the original destination, we will shuttle you via vehicle and refund the pro-rated number of days missed.

  • We provide both inflatable and flotation style PFDs (including child and infant sizes). You may bring your own if you’d like. Anyone under age 16 must wear a PFD at all times while on the deck of the boat.

    • If your booking includes bedding and linens, each person will have: Sheets, pillow, blanket, 1 bath towel, 2 washcloths and 1 beach towel

    • If you bring your own bedding, plan on either a sleeping bag, queen size bedding (cabins) or twin size bedding (settee). Dish towels and bathroom hand towels are provided.

  • Daysails and Trips: Guests will need to be able to move up and down steps and walk on moving surfaces. Most disabilities can be accommodated – please contact us with questions.

Classes: Sailing can be a rigorous endeavor, particularly when learning. Be prepared to be very active while on a moving boat. If you are sedentary, it would be a good idea to start a moderate exercise program that includes upper body training.

    • Any children under age 16 will be required to wear a PFD at all times while on the deck of the boat.

    • Please consider if your child has the ability to be somewhat immobile for several hours at a time.

    • While we welcome children and families for daysails and trips, please consider their level of interest in learning to sail before booking them into a class.

    • ASA 101 is for age 13 and up.

  • Generally, pets are not allowed. Please contact us if you have a special request. We’re pet lovers too!
